Tami Mulcahy: Got Music!
White Wall
(White Wall CD)
2005-05-03
A gift from the very depth of me. Yet, I wrap it around me like a blanket. It makes me feel safe and grounded...I know I’m OK. It taught me to slow down, see others and let others see in.
Sometimes I feel like a White Wall
Plain to the ordinary eye
Easy to lean up against
Easy to pass by
All the subtle shades of who I am
Lost to the hurried life we lead
And oh, how I long to be
More than a White Wall
Come, look at a White Wall
Please don’t turn away
Hear a kindred spirit
Call out to you to stay
Stare at the texture of my skin
And the lines of history on my face
You can even let your fingers trace
My White Wall
Deep caverns of sadness where black fades to gray
Like wounds that heal
But never go away
And moments of glory in soft yellow streams
And love in shades of blue and green
You can be part of my White Wall
The story yet untold
Feel yourself drawn in
And watch my heart unfold
When a rainbow of light appears
Then and only then you’ll see
The complete essence of me
That hides inside my White Wall
Come into my White Wall
